After couple news posts on Free-Source.net and E107.org about the new version of e107 many people have asked us when our themes and plugins will be updated to the upcoming new version. Here is our answer. In the past 3 years we've tried to convince the community that we definitely take care of our members, customers and the whole community giving them newer versions of themes, plugins and quality support. e107 version 0.8 is important to us as we are putting a lot of work, time and effort in there, so we'll take care about our plugins and themes (premium and free) in any case. Meanwhile we are slo preparing some great new services at Free-Source.net. However, they are planned to be up and running in the same day of v0.8 release.

Every second question in our email box is:

"If I buy one of your premium e107 themes, or download one of your free e107 themes how can i be sure that this theme will be supported when 107 v0.8 is out?"

The answer:

"Every premium and free theme will be updated to the latest version of e107. We consider this as one of the most important things for us.".

Оf course you should not expect to see this happen in the same day of the official release of 107 v0.8., it'll take a while. The update process will be started just after first beta 0.8 version is out (it's lot of work and I hope you'll have patience and understanding).

So you can be sure that our services and products will stay up to date. As SecretR mentioned in his previous post "Hopefully we'll celebrate all together soon."

Most of you probably noticed that it's a bit unusually quiet around. This is exactly the reason I'm writing this - I feel I need to explain why it's so.

The truth is - it's not so quiet at all. You are in the middle of a storm of changes, and I mean not only FS net related, but e107 generic as well. We are preparing the 0.8 e107 release, which will lead our community to a new level of user experience. I'm really talking about huge innovations and system improvements.

As always, we'll try to provide you the edge e107 technologies on free-source.net - you'll see things you might think are impossible to achieve with e107 or any other open-source Content Management System. I hope you'll be nicely surprised. I also hope you'll have understanding and give us the time to make the things done right. Hopefully we'll celebrate all together soon.
