Fs Net - Behind the sceneBy SecretRMost of you probably noticed that it's a bit unusually quiet around. This is exactly the reason I'm writing this - I feel I need to explain why it's so.
The truth is - it's not so quiet at all. You are in the middle of a storm of changes, and I mean not only FS net related, but e107 generic as well. We are preparing the 0.8 e107 release, which will lead our community to a new level of user experience. I'm really talking about huge innovations and system improvements. As always, we'll try to provide you the edge e107 technologies on free-source.net - you'll see things you might think are impossible to achieve with e107 or any other open-source Content Management System. I hope you'll be nicely surprised. I also hope you'll have understanding and give us the time to make the things done right. Hopefully we'll celebrate all together soon. CommentsJezza101 - 11 Nov 2008Well I think most of us will consider that fantastic news! I for one have long believed that e107 can really stand out as a top CMS and can easily compete with the better known packages out there. With you guys working hard on the 0.8 I have no doubt that we will see the enhancements that e107 needs to ensure it stands out. I think e107 has always led in terms of usability but people were wowed by slick effects that other CMS systems can provide. Keep up the good work and I hope we'll see a realease soon - looking forward to it :)! SecretR - 11 Nov 2008 Nice comment from a nice person :) Thanks Jezza101, this wouldn't be possible without the community and especially without people like you. FatFreddiesCat - 12 Nov 2008 Excellent news. Glad to hear you are so involved with 0.8. As one of the people I consider to be among the most innovative with e107 I think we can look forward to some exciting new developments. Thanks for the update! Acronym - 12 Nov 2008 I've always admired your well written plugins. So I am really looking forward to seeing your work in the next e107 release. e107 has a great community but in the end it's people like you and the e107 devs that do all of the hard work.
